Towards the collective development of the African people by working in collaboration withother organisations and government institutions that mainly deals with community and national development within Africa.
Our Vision
To become a leading youth organization and prepare a new generation of empowered African leaders, who will proffer and implement lasting solutions to the continent’s development challenges.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide young leaders with the tools, resources, skills and opportunities they need to succeed in their respective fields and to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
Development & Growth of YALF.
YALF began with a series of leadership training, workshops and seminars aimed at young professionals, students, and emerging leaders. These programs were designed to enhance leadership skills, foster civic engagement, and promote entrepreneurship. The organization also launched mentorship programs, connecting young leaders with experienced mentors who provided guidance and support.
As YALF grew, it expanded its reach across several African countries, establishing chapters and regional hubs to facilitate local activities and events. The organization developed partnerships with the African Union, educational institutions, government agencies, and other international organizations to amplify its impact and extend its resources.
The Forum is officially managed by an Executive Council, which is generally presided over by the President. The Executive Council is composed of Regional Coordinators, Country Directors, Ambassadors, Account Officers, Secretary-General, Vice Presidents and a President.
YALF is the official publisher of the prestigious journal, Young African Leaders Journal of Development (YALJOD). Our organisation has its new headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia – United States with branch offices and active representations in 30 African nations, Canada, Asia and Europe.
Our Objectives.
The Young African Leaders Forum (YALF) is an international youth organisation whose utmost objective is to prepare a new generation of radical and pro-development leaders for Africa . We achieve this by detecting the root causes of Africa’s developmental problems, researching and proffering workable solutions to them through our biennial journal, and executing strategic solutions. We also work to empower Africa’s young people through conferences, seminars, summits and trainings – so that they can participate actively in the society, improve their own lives, represent and solve their needs whilst also advocating for those of others.
As an African-focused establishment, our five major objectives include:
- Proffer workable solutions to Africa’s developmental problems through YALJOD, and collaborate to execute them.
- Organise capacity-building trainings, workshops, summits and conferences for empowering African youths (ages of 14-39) with Leadership, Entrepreneurship, STEM, Technology, Health, Education, Culture and Modernization skills.
- Connect Africa by establishing and managing a bond between Africans (in Africa and the diaspora) to promote good international relationships for a united Africa via a network system.
- Organise, carry out research and biennially publish the Young African Leaders Journal of Development; for the civic education of the African people and the engagement of leaders/stakeholders in development policies.
- Work in collaboration with the African Union and other organisations or government institutions that deal with the development of Africa.
